HONEYCOMB HIVES: Game-Changing Reimagined Beehives

Less Lifting, Smart-Features and Easy Full-Hive Access with the most Beautiful Beehives on Earth!

I began beekeeping five years ago after seeing a  major decline in pollinators in our orchard and gardens.  After lackluster results with flat-top rectangular hives, I decided to design hexagonal hives.   That project morphed into an integrative beekeeping system.  Now, after five prototypes, my patent-pending beehives are ready for CNC manufacturing.

We aim to help honey bees better survive winters & change the shape of backyard, garden & urban apiaries, with the most beautiful hives on earth!

Humans have been making beehives for eons and Langstroth, Warre, Layens, Perrone, Slavic, Japanese, Ukrainian, Top Bar and other hive systems all have their strengths.  But with North American honey bee colony losses averaging over fifty percent in 2017, conventional practices with typical hive boxes need to be questioned.  We think beekeeping might benefit from some re-thinking, so we’re approaching it with a new look at improving how honey bees are housed.
  •   First is improving the ratio of comb area to hive space for better thermal efficiency.
  •   Second is reducing the amount of bee disturbance typical during hive inspections.
  •   Third is tighter hive construction with modular hive components you can grow with.
  •   Fourth, is exploring alternatives to the questionable practice of re-purposing wax.
  •   Fifth, is applying technology to enable proactive hive monitoring and management
Honeycomb Hives is pleased to introduce Lambrecht's amazing new Hexagonal Prism Hives featuring universally-sized Smart Frames and exclusive Comb Honey Cup Harvesting system, practical accessories and logical options swappable among all 5 Honeycomb Hive types.
